710 May St was a 1910 Folk Victorian in an older neighborhhod with a variety of older homes. The 950 Sq Ft included the original 2 rooms and a 1950 addition of odd construction with the kitchen and bathroom. The appealling exterior included ship-lap cedar siding,Cedar shake gables, corbels and large single pane windows. There was a small basement accessed from outside. The oversized corner lot was zoned for a duplex- R-2. includes a beautiful 100 year old Sycamore tree is in the southwest corner, near street corner.

The resulting remodel/addition was an amazing transformation. The north gable end was cut off and lowerd, re-inforced and re-used on the south side of the new second story addition. This gave a perfect match look to the home while re-cycling this vital archetectual house part The footprint of the home had a new foundation under the two story addition while giving a new floorplan to the original small home. A lovely period staircase was built, a new "old" new kitchen was designed and built with two sinks, pantry cupboards, and tilework.
